Quotation of the month

Hello sweet ladies I hope you're doing fine!
Here is my quotation for May. Sorry , It's once more from Oscar Wilde (just can't help it, I love this author)

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. most people exist that is all."
I  really love this quote, just beacuse it reminds us that we should not be merely breathing , but should exist and fufill our dreams; (that's how I interpret it)

Have a nice weekend.

My wonderful castor oil

Ma merveilleuse huile de ricin

source image: Aroma Zone
Hello sweet ladies! I was doing my manicure last Sunday, using my castor oil to make my nails stronger, and it popped to my mind how frequently I reach for this oil.

Why I love it so much?
first and foremost, because it's a natural, effective product. I use one which is organic, and it's even better.
Second, I use it on different parts of my body, my nails, my lashes, my hair.

For my fingernails:
this oil is great to reinforce and strengthen fragile and splitting nails. I usually make some kind of "bath", pouring my hand in a little amount of oil ( I usually add some drops of pricky pear oil to make it less sticky), then I massage my nails and cuticules. I keep the oil on my fingers and hands for 20 to 30 minutes, but it's my personal choice, you can remove it after 10 minutes.

For my skin:
It helps to remove dark spots and soothes chapped skin as well.

For my lashes (and for the eyebrows):
same thing, it strengthens my lashes and it helps them grow. I should do this more frequently than I actually do... But I'm a bit lazy with this routine and tend to skip it. You apply the oil on your lashes before going to bed.

For my hair:
it's good to repare and strengthen damaged hair and it also prevents from breakage. I use it on my lengths and ends before shampoo. I have to melt it with another oil (with monoi, most of the time) as it is a thick, sticky oil... I massage my scalp with it every other day. I just put a little it of oil on my fingertips and gentle massages my scalps: it helps the hair grow.

I've got a new obsession...

Hello sweet ladies, I know I haven't posted this week, but I've been busy with my job, so I didn't really have time to blog.
Anyway, here I am, to tell you about my obsession for Yankee Candles. I discovered this brand a few weeks ago with my first purchase here.
Since that, I've been completely obsessed... I made a huge haul this month. Here is what I picked. I'm gonna review these fragrances later, I promise, but tell me if you wanna know more about some specific ones.  I'm sooooo happy about these candles.

NEW! Sugarpill's Heart Breaker palette!

Hello sweet ladies!!! Today is THE election day in France. We've just chosen a new president. I'm currently following the results on TV while it's rainy and foggy outside... A nice, cocooning Sunday!

Anyway, I'm very excited about what I've just learned about Sugarpill: they are lauching a brand new palette with new eyeshadows!!!! I've been waiting this for two years. I already have their two other palettes (Burning Heart & Sweet Heart) and they are by far my favorite bright colors in my stash!
I'm in love with Sugarpill.

The new one is called Heart Breaker, with matte eyeshadows (I'm a junkie for matte eyeshadows!)
It will available on May 18th

What about you girls? Do you like Sugarpill's eyeshasows? Are you going to buy this palette. Why? Why not?

A little "luxury" haul...

Hello sweet ladies! Did you have a nice week? I hope you're ok and that your weekend is going on pretty good. I didn"t make any post this week, I've been busy with work.

Yesterday I went to the mall and treated myself with some products that I wanted.

Here is what I picked:
- L'Occitane en Provence: the famous Almond Milk concentrate. I've been dreaming of this products for years now... But , yep, it's expensive! I used it twice already, and it is as stunning as I imagined it would be. The texture is light and smooth. And it smells awesome!

- CHANEL: the Powder Blush in Reflex n°82. It's been a while since I wanted to purchase this one. It's a gorgeous coral blush with a hint of gold shimmer.

- Yves Saint Laurent: my new lipstick obsession: Rouge Volupté Perle n° 116, Silky pink. These lipsticks are not very pigmented, but they apply just the touch of color you need to have a fresh, natural look. They are super soft on the lips and they have kindof a sweet taste. They moistuurize the lips and don't leave them dry and chapped. LOVE THESE!!!!

April's favorites.

Hello sweet ladies! I hope you're doing good.
Today is a day off here in France. So I spent my day surfing the web and working a little bit.
I decided to make a post about my favorite products this month. Here they are:
- MAC Prep+Prime face protect. I've been using this for several months now and I really like it. It's soft on the skin and doesn't make it feel greasy. It's a good, non-heavy, non-sticky, sunscreen.

- MAC lipstick in Modesty.I didn't wear much makeup this month cuz I didn't feel like it. This Modesty is perfect for my nude lips. It's super creamy and glides easily on the lips.

- China Glaze's Material Girl. I love its sweet pink color and it perfectly fitted my glitter obsession this month. You can see a swatch here.

- MAC blush in Bi-tone. A love this one because it's shimmery (I looooove shimmer on my cheeks) and thus I don't have to apply a highlighter after. It's a nice pink/plum color with gold shimmer.

- Nuxe Contour des yeux prodigieux. It's an eye cream. I've been using it since Januaty and I love it. The first effective eye cream that I purchased. I'm gonna make a full review on this.

- The Personal Mircoderm. I made a review on it a month ago, you find it here.

What about you girls? What are your favorite products for April?
